Ajax CombiProtect Wireless Motion Sensor

The Ajax CombiProtect White is a wireless dual-technology detector that integrates motion detection and glass break detection into one compact device. It’s designed for indoor installation, effectively safeguarding spaces from intruders by reacting to both human movement and the sound of breaking glass. Its clean white finish allows it to blend seamlessly into various interior designs.

For motion detection, the CombiProtect utilizes a passive infrared (PIR) sensor with a coverage angle of 88.5° horizontally and 80° vertically, capable of detecting motion up to 12 meters away. A key feature is its pet immunity, which means it intelligently ignores pets weighing up to 20 kg and standing up to 50 cm tall, significantly reducing false alarms caused by animals.

For glass break detection, the device employs an electret microphone that can sense the distinct sound of breaking glass up to 9 meters away with a 180° angle of coverage. The sensitivity of both the motion and glass break sensors is adjustable across three levels, allowing users to fine-tune the device’s responsiveness to specific environmental conditions.

The CombiProtect communicates with the Ajax Hub using Ajax’s proprietary Jeweller radio technology. This ensures secure and encrypted two-way communication over distances up to 1200 meters in open space, delivering alarm signals in a lightning-fast 0.15 seconds. The detector also features temperature compensation, maintaining effective detection across a wide temperature range (-10°C to +40°C). Powered by a pre-installed CR123A battery, it boasts an impressive operating life of up to 5 years, minimizing maintenance. Furthermore, it incorporates two tampers that immediately alert the system if there are attempts to detach the detector from its mount or open its casing, providing robust anti-sabotage protection.
