Ajax DoorProtect Wireless Door/Window Opening Sensor

The Ajax DoorProtect White is a wireless magnetic opening detector designed for installation on doors and windows to instantly signal their opening. It’s a crucial element in the Ajax smart security system, ensuring a rapid response to potential intrusions. Its clean white finish allows the detector to blend discreetly into lighter interiors.

The detector consists of two parts: the main unit with a reed switch and a magnet. When a door or window is opened, the magnet moves away from the main unit, breaking the magnetic field and triggering an alarm. The set includes two magnets of different sizes – a large magnet that operates up to 2 cm away, and a small magnet that operates up to 1 cm away. This provides flexible installation options for various types and thicknesses of frames and door leaves.

Ajax DoorProtect utilizes Ajax’s proprietary Jeweller radio technology, ensuring secure and encrypted two-way communication with the Ajax Hub up to 1200 meters in open space. This guarantees lightning-fast alarm signal delivery – in just approximately 0.15 seconds. The detector is equipped with tamper protection, which immediately reports any attempts to detach it from the SmartBracket mounting panel or open its casing, thus providing high anti-sabotage protection. The device operates on a pre-installed CR123A battery, offering an excellent operating life of up to 7 years, minimizing maintenance needs. Furthermore, it features an external contact (NC type), allowing for the connection of third-party wired detectors, expanding the system’s functionality.
