Sonoff smart home system devices have a built-in ability to operate on a local LAN without a cloud server.

SONOFF ZBDongle-E is a universal Zigbee 3.0 USB adapter that allows you to connect and manage Zigbee devices from various manufacturers through popular smart home platforms such as Home Assistant, Zigbee2MQTT, openHAB, and other open-source home automation systems.
Using a single USB stick, you can create a centralized Zigbee network and eliminate the need for multiple Zigbee hubs from different brands. Operation requires a computer, Raspberry Pi, or Home Assistant server.
The device enables local control of Zigbee devices without relying on manufacturers’ cloud services, providing greater flexibility, privacy, and control.
ZBDongle-E comes preloaded with coordinator firmware but can also be configured as a Zigbee router when needed, helping extend network coverage and improve signal reliability.
It offers broad device compatibility and supports all SONOFF Zigbee 3.0 devices, including smart switches, smart plugs, sensors, curtain motors, and other smart home components.
The device also supports a wide range of third-party Zigbee devices, including Philips Hue, IKEA, Aqara, SmartThings, and other Zigbee 3.0 compatible products.
