The NV-FH2 is a high-quality, flexible 8-channel PWM fan hub that is ideal for powering up to eight fans in home, office or multi-purpose applications via an external power supply with a 5.5mm barrel connector (e.g. Noctua NV-PS1, optionally available). It is compatible with 5, 12 and 24 volt fans with 4-pin PWM or 3-pin connector and supports a total power consumption of up to 60W. While 3-pin fans can be speed-controlled by voltage adjustment, 5 and 12V PWM fans can be controlled by connecting the NA-FC1 fan controller (optionally available) to the 4-pin PWM input of the NV-FH2. Alternatively, the NV-FH2 can also be powered via this input (up to 22W total power consumption), e.g. in PC environments where it can be operated via motherboard fan connectors with PWM control and speed monitoring, or in conjunction with Noctua's 5V PWM fan models whose USB power adapter cable allows the NV-FH2 to be operated via power banks or standard USB power supplies. With its advanced protection and signal filtering features, the NV-FH2 can not only be safely operated with fans that generate high starting current or noise, but also supports the cascading of multiple units to control up to 71 fans simultaneously. Mounting the NV-FH2 is child's play thanks to integrated magnets as well as mounting tabs with screw holes: the former allows easy snap-on placement on steel surfaces, the latter attachment with screws or cable ties.
