The wall thermostat measures the temperature and humidity in the room and controls the triac output based on the current values. Control and configuration can be done directly on the Homematic IP wall thermostat or alternatively conveniently via the free Homematic IP app. Existing wall thermostats in an existing installation can simply be replaced with the Homematic IP wall thermostat and the device can be installed in the flush-mounted box.
